As a member of the executive management team, this person reports
directly to the CEO and is responsible for leading, managing,
developing and coordinating retail member service and sale
activities at VSECU. Strong and creative leadership skills are
essential to direct operations of six branches, a call center and
e-branch to deliver a top quality member experience and achieve
organizational goals. Responsibilities include creating and
supporting an effective sales and service environment, ensuring
standards and policies are implemented at the highest level of
integrity, and collaborating with peers and other stakeholders to
meet business objectives.
The successful candidate will be a strong strategic thinker with
eight or more years of management and leadership experience in a
financial institution. Solid academic credentials that demonstrate
an understanding of the principles and knowledge needed to be
successful in today’s financial services industry is desired.

Consumer Loan Officer
(Middlebury) - Vermont Federal Credit Union (2/18)
This full-time in-branch
lending position interviews member loan applicants to develop
information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial
condition. Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs
and recommends loan options. Keeps member informed of status of
loan. Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and
coordinates with collections when appropriate. Keeps informed of
current trends in consumer credit. Analyzes current financial
position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in
extending credit or lending money. Makes decision to approve,
disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for
decision. Prepares and/or reviews and disburses all loans. Checks
documents for completeness, accuracy and overall quality.
Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews
them with the member. This position also serves the branch in a
Member Service Representative capacity, assists members with opening
and closing accounts, answers questions about products/services and
resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve, as
well as cross selling credit union products and services to members.
Two years to five years of similar or related experience and a high
school education or GED.
